Reply:Lincoln has made them for years, used on engine drives and were very popular in Alaska esp. during the Pipeline Cons.
Reply:We've got a armature shop here in Chattanooga that was a Lincoln repair center for years and a old timer that retired from there told me that the Linc-thaw worked great on 72 and older copper wound machines but when then aluminum stuff come out with the hex barrels they had major issues with guys burning up machines.Fyi from a old Lincoln guru.

Reply:No, now there copper but from 1973 through maybe the nineties the had aluminum shunt coils etc. Maybe someone that knows when they stopped the aluminum will chime in.
Reply:In thier Engine drives? I know they put some Al in thier electric welders but have honestly never seen a Lincoln engine drive with Al.
