Yep, I'm very new on this forum and tried the search function to see if this has been discussed before but didn't see it, so apologies if it has been posted or is a tired subject. I've a couple of friends that work for this company, NUCOR, and they are happy with the pay/ benefits package. Both have commented that this program does not get many applicants, at least not in proportion for the opportunity it presents. While not a welding job... certainly relatedFree college, and they pay you a wage while in class...http://www.nucor.com/careers/academy/

Reply:Looks like a good deal if there isn't a "hitch". free tuition(provided a 3.0gpa) and paid to take classes... If I wasn't already in the engineering/manufacturing trade, Id consider it.. If i saw a legit degree program, id still look at it lol. kinda lacking some info on the site thoEverlast Tig 200DVEverlast Imig 275SEastwood Versa-cut 40
Reply:This sounds like a good opportunity for some of those college students that are demanding a free education. Oh wait,, this opportunity involves some real work. OK never mind.
