Looking for lincoln service/repair shop in middle TN

I'm needing some work done on my lincoln sa 200 69. Don't want to take to small engine repair shop, would rather be place that is familiar with machine. Thanks.
Reply:Given that it was stated the machine welded good I'm going to say it probably doesn't need to go to any type of special shop for evaluation/repair. Most any competent shop that can work on industrial engines or whom hasn't forgotten the basics to make an engine run should be able to effectively diagnose the problem.I wouldn't mind looking at it for you but the 500 or so mile trek to get it over here would be a bit extreme. Do you know if the welder has a bit of "setting time" on it as in meaning not being used?Wish I were closer.SlobPurveyor of intimate unparalleled knowledge of nothing about everything.Oh yeah, also an unabashed internet "Troll" too.....
Reply:Yes sir, I picked it from a pawn shop in Missouri, the guy was paying on it an just quit, was told he had some faults he was dealing with(don't we all). I talked with a guy today who told me to try spray sea foam in carb and as I was doing that I reached over to rev it up and now it won't idle down. Im going to put a remote an pic idler.
Reply:take it anywhere if you absolutely have too.i was scared to push in the new coils on my sa 200. i called a local electric motor shop and said i need coil-replacement and re-coat in an old dc generator housing and i would be bringing them the housing and armature for test/ coating.upon arrival, the manager comes out to help me hoist out the parts and gets all excited because he hasn't worked on an sa 200 since his days as a lincoln dealer/ repairman. the man knew exactly what it was by the gen housing and they did a great job.if your just needing motor work, any older shop would be fine doing it. it is as simple as motors get so have no fear. whats your problem? maybe we could help you fix it for free!bosses stuff:trailblazer 325maxstar 200my stuff:sa 200fronius transpocket 180100 amp Lincoln w/f97 f350 DITKevin
Reply:I've been around these machines most of my life but never had to really work on them, after this I bet I'll be top notch on it. So putting the pic board idler will do away with the r57 right?
Reply:92dlx, a machine I picked up had a misfire/ hickup to it an sounds pretty rough but it welds good, then I was messing with it today an I jacked something up in the r57. If I put an pic board idler on it will that do away with that?
