I do a bunch of cutting of weird stuff 3/8 - 2 inch thick small parts . I can’t believe I waited so long to buy them . I love it . Well if I cut fast the clamps get warm semi hot I can pick them up fine to move them. But cut Quality is low . If I go slow I can get amazing cut cut quality like CNC plasma love it . But the clamps get hot , I have to use gloves to move them. How hot is to hot ? Will it lose the magnetic force and break them ?

Reply:I had to look up flange wizard... never heard of it. but the warning is on their website front page. Warning: Excessive heat can damage the magnets. Keep magnet block away from sensitive electronic devices. Keep magnet block in OFF position when not in use.Miller 211Hypertherm PM 451961 Lincoln Idealarc 250HTP 221 True Wisdom only comes from Pain.

Reply:On the other hand, I have a Mag clamp (ground clamp) on my stick welder.... and it HAS got hot from time to time.... especially if metal shavings get under the magnet.and the mag clamp still works fine... so, who knowsMiller 211Hypertherm PM 451961 Lincoln Idealarc 250HTP 221 True Wisdom only comes from Pain.
Reply:I have a Mag clamp. Mines is weak, i suspect from heat. Ironically a weak mag clamp gets hot from being weak.
