Could someone suggest a disposible respirator?
Reply:you might consider useing your good respirator all the time. good habits etc
Reply:I bought the #8214. Too lazy to put them on but they look good sitting on my shelf masks"after a long day of doing nothing...its gooood to kick back" Pumbaa
Reply:Respirators, are more complicated than most people think. If you need one, you need to get the right "filter cartridge", and pre filter if needed.Must of what I do is with dust of a "biological nature" cleaning off sewage eguipment etc. I use a dust mask. I buy a package of them at the "Box store"Depending on what your doing, and if your doing it commercial with employees. Resperators are a pain with osha regs, Physical exams, fit tests, record keeping, etc.If your concerned about welding fumes, your better off with a good cross ventilation, or smoke removal system.
Reply:Jim, Yeah that is kinda what I have found now. I guess the next job will be a welding hood over the table. Hmmmmm wonder where I can pick up a small squirrel cage. I have a old one from a furnace but that would be a bit of overkill. Seems somene posted somewhere about them. Surplus center perhaps? I'll give a look. thanks again.Ken
