is this that hard to make? or would it just be better to buy a welderhttp://home8.inet.tele.dk/jan_p/welder/mig1.htm
Reply:I scanned through that and the writer even states, if you dont have the parts lying about, go buy one. And that it would cost more to buy to buy the parts separatly than the cost of a comparable welder. Some of the things I do would cause a person to get hurt, expelled, arrested, or possibly deported. To put it another way, don't try this at home.Look at the stars whenever your can. That light travelled a long way to get here, dont let it go to waste on some patch of asphalt.
Reply:Man, that guy has GOT to learn how to spell. I agree, easier to buy one.
Reply:I don't kow about you guys, but I'm not bored enough yet to try that project! Went to the store and bought a MM210!!Hank
Reply:I have had good luck at the metal scrapyards picking up old welders. Most that I find are 3 phase but some singles turn up too. But building one out of a charger is a little extreme unless you view it more as a fun project to try. Large forklift chargers and big rectifiers turn up more often than welders at the scrapyards. |
