Just wondering what you guys think of the welder and if its worth putting the money into it to hook up the mig or if id be better off sellin it and getting a new one. What do you think its worth as well. Thanks, Matt
Reply:I have the 135 amp model. I have had it for several years but have scarcely used it in the past 2 1/2 years or so since I purchased the HH 175. I have ran a smaller Hobart welder that was comparable to the same amperage range as the Century 135 I have and there was no comparison. The Hobart welder outperformed the Century as clear as day and night. I purchased the Century of mine for around $350.00 dollars or so it was a reconditioned welder. I tried to sell it after buying the HH 175 asking about $250.00 for it, but didn't have much luck selling it, so decided to hang onto it and just use it with flux-core and use the HH 175 for mig welding. Don't imagine I have been much help for you but that is just my input from my experiance with both the Century and the Hobart welders.
Reply:Sell it and get a Lincoln, Miller, Hobart, or HTP unit, I think you would be happier with the better machines. For HTP go to www.usaweld.com. They have a wide assortment of units at lesser prices than the bigger manufacturers.
