What size ELECTRODES do i use if im working on 1/16" sheetmetal, its 16gage i think?
Reply:What do you mean by electrodes???Are you trying to stick weld 16ga? It can be done, but isn't easy. You need 1/16" electrodes and just make little short 1/2" welds. If you mean tungsten electrodes, use 1/16.
Reply:NVM, its 18 gauge mild steel what would i use for this?also yes stick weld
Reply:Stick welding 18ga is pretty ambitious, especially for a beginner. I would use a 1/16 6011 or 7014. Don't try to weld a bead, you'll blow holes. You'll have to make hundreds of tacks, spacing them out and then filling the gaps with more tack welds.
Reply:Thank Yo for the info, would it be easyer with a regular arc welder with a flex tip?
Reply:You just lost me......?????
Reply:me too ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:ok its called a gas less flux core welder. woul this be easyer to use then a stick welder ?

Reply:Ok so ill go buy the gasless flux core welder than, and what size wire i use on this?
Reply:Small machines give you only two choices, .030 and .035. The .030 would be the better but do to the unique way in which it is made the smaller the wire the more it costs per pound. Use the .030 if passible.
