new powermig 215, Have ?.

Well I just bought me a new welder,  I was looking inside the cover looking at the chart and it didnt say anything about flux core wire.  Can I weld with flux core and if so where do I start?  have never welded before.   I dont have a gas bottle yet but want to start with fcaw until I get used to it then maybe try gmaw.  I hope those abbreviations are rite,  thanks for the replys.  Brad from Iowa.
Reply:hey brad!i'm not sure on the machine but there is plenty here that does know..but you can run fluxcore and gas in the same machine..providing you have a polarity switch on it..if not you need to change the "gun" set up..new toys are cool.. good luck and lets see some pics......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:According to the glossy brochure info it runs .035 and/or .045 flux core, DCEN. Don't really understand why not .030, but I'm sure theres some background reasoning. Anyway yes, runs flux core.
