Well guys i'm going back to school. I found out that i can take a welding class at the local tech school that is 25 weeks long and covers everything form basics to advanced. 2 days a week after work. Since I have never had any formal welding training this is going to be sweet. The most amazing thing about this is it is 100% free. I am considered to be out of the college age it's called continous learning. As long as I am employed full time and am not going to school for the same trade I am in its free.Last edited by usmcgremlin; 05-09-2007 at 10:00 PM.

Reply:That's exactly the way I did it. I had played around with an arc welder on the farm for a few months before - just about managed a clean weld. Then went to night school and learnt how to do it properly. It was really useful to be able to practice run after run in a decent environment with the coaching on hand. The best thing I ever did.www.abou27.com
Reply:Cool! I went to my local com. college for welding, it was like 600 dollars for about a 15 week course. I have another college about a mile away from where I live and wouldn't you know it, they cancelled welding about a year ago Another guy I went with got to go for free, cuz his work paid for it. But all and all, it was a great learning experience, which I have much more to do so good luck and stick with it!!!!Miller blue star 2eLincoln 175
