I have some pieces of 304 stainless that I am thinking about using to make water tanks for my camper and sailboat. Is this grade of stainless suitable or is some other grade preferred? As well, what type of rod for tig or spool wire for mig, should I use.
Reply:That is the grade used most , for water ,etc. Use 308 wire or rod.[SIZE="5"Yardbird"
Reply:316L would be best, 304 will work fine if it's fresh. |
