Hello everyone, quick question. Ive got to replace some rusty floor pans on a camaro this weekend, and was wondering if anyone has experience with these. I really just need to know if I should cut the old pan to exact dimensions of the new pan, and butt weld it, or should I leave a bit of a lip all the way around, and lap weld it. Ive seen it done both ways, but I would like to know which way is the right way.I will be using a handler 140 with 25/75 mix, and .023 wire.ThanksMiller Syncrowave 200Hobart Handler 140Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 38E-Z Tube BenderPlasma Cam DHC2

Reply:Beedy beedy beedy...There is no right or wrong. The lap weld will be much, much easier. If this is going under carpet or something, I'd lap weld it. |
