http://www.amazon.com/Speedway-125-A...5784425&sr=8-2Well, I have just gotten a project car. And what I want to do is remove the panels, and use rust-converter on the inside of them.So I would need a MIG to tact the panels back on to the car.Would this be good enough just for spot welding? Also, I may do things like weld a brush guard to the front and such, how would this do for that?Mind you, i'm 17 and bought this car with almost everything I had, lol. So I cant afford hardly anything. This is the cheapest I found, and thought it would suffice..
Reply:A flux only (FCAW) welder is going to be tough to weld or tack sheet metal back together. The flux wire burns much hotter. If you're going to tack, practice on a few sheets prior to doing the final project.John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
