Reply:It varies with the area you are in. You are going to hate a 40cf bottle. I didn't even know you could get one that small. I'd bet it would cost almost as much to fill as a 120cf or even bigger bottle. Not to mention the fact that even when the bottle is full you'll almost be out of gas!I pay $35.00 out the door to swap my 300cf bottle, pure argon. A smaller bottle would drive me nuts.Miller EconotigCutmaster 38Yes ma'am, that IS a screwdriver in my pocket!

Reply:That price is from the good LWS, locally owned. If I were to go to one of the franchise stores like AirGas, which would never happen BTW, it would be closer to $50.Miller EconotigCutmaster 38Yes ma'am, that IS a screwdriver in my pocket!

Reply:$35 for a 300 cf?? I pay $65. Its still 'new' though. I wouldn't get a 40 cf. Waaay too small. Say a 120 would cost like $30 more and be $5-10 more in refill but if you do the math, you buy one get two 'free' in that size. Its big enough to not run out that quick as you will on sunday afternoon while you are trying to hold your work with outstreched arms and they just closed until tuesday but its portable still unlike a size T.
Reply:I pay 10 bucks for 20pounds of CO2, and $35-40 for a 330cf Argon. Oxygen is$19, and MAPP is $50. I have a 40 for inside jobs, and it costs about 4 times more per cf to get it filled.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ." |
