Cost of Argon?

I have been purchasing Argon at the local Praxair of a while.My bottles have been costing 45.00 for a refill, today when I went to get my usual fix the bottle cost was 70.00. Has there been an increase in the cost of the gas in last couple of months that warrents the increase in cost? Or is my Praxair dealer just taking the oportunity to take liberties with my wallet?s.r.

Reply:You don't mention the size cylinder you are getting filled so I can't say if the price is good or bad.  However, I filled a 80 cubic foot cylinder last month for $26 in Loganville, GA.
Reply:Praxair just instituted a hug hike in cost last month. My big argon went from 128 to 183 I was told fule cost and energy cost to porduce. You should ask around not all will be the same. Reply:Airgas is charging $75 for a 160 cu. ft. cylinder exchange with all the taxes and fees. I'm unhappy and I'm going to start shoppng around for the next cylinder. Praxair and barnes are less expensive.Miller Millermatic 252Miller Syncrowave 200Liincoln AC-DC 225Victor O-A Set
