Hey all, I am looking to pick up a welder and I came across what appears to be a decent deal on Super Elto 140.  I have found little to no information on this site and the rest of the internet besides it is a 110/220v, 140 amp welder.  So, for $100, is this a good welder?  I have some experience running a mig gun, but little to none with stick/tig.  Am I safe to assume that I can convert this to TiG?  Thanks for your help guys.  -Greg
Reply:Sorry, a constant voltage MIG welding power supply cannot be adapted for TIG.  TIG is done with a constant current power supply.
Reply:Pulser is right on.You would be better off looking for and old tombstone (Lincoln) or Miller Thunderbolt or Econotig used on ebay or craigs list.  They are all CC (constant current) machines and maybe TIG ready or easily set up for TIG.Ron ShopFloorTalk Millermatic 350P, M-25, M-40 gunsDynasty 300DX, Coolmate 3, Crafter CS-310 TorchTrailblazer 302, 12RC, WC-2430A spoolgunSpectrum 2050Thermal Arc Plasma Welder PS-3000/WC-100B
