Lens glare

I was wondering what everybody does about glare on the inside of their welding hoods.  I get bad glare from the overhead lighting in my shop.  It makes it hard to see while TIG welding small stuff.  I have been using a scrap of Nomex cloth taped to the back of my helmet.  Just wondering if there is any thing out there that is better. Thanks in advance.
Reply:i have auto darkening lights in my shop.  i have used a towel in the past when the sun was the culprit.  just kidding about the lights
Reply:i used a piece of an old welding jacket(green cotton) cut into a rectangle about 14 in x 24in. i put 4 snap studs along the top back of the helmet and maching snaps on the fabric. when you're welding it lays over your shoulders.if you don't need it you just un snap it.

Reply:It just stopped bothering me after a while.  Don't even notice it now, unless someone walks up behind me.

Reply:Just pick up the narrowest helmet you can find and put your lense assembly in it, I also hate glare on the inside of my lense.Anything worth doing is worth doing RIGHT

Reply:The crack right before the burning sensation in your filler hand, then you open your eyes and see your hand on fire...
