Where to purchase plate in central IL?

I’m going to be making a welding table in the next week or two and I need a piece of ½” (flexible on thickness) x 22”x 29” plate. Can anyone recommend a place within an hour or two of Champaign, that won’t require me to purchase an entire sheet?Thanks,-Dan

Reply:Olddad,I was hoping for something more like local knowledge.For example the place I purchase hard wood from can’t be found on the net. I found out about it through word of mouth.The place I buy steel from locally (Kurland Steel, again hard to find info on the net) is great as long as you are willing to purchase a whole sheet, bar, etc.
Reply:I hear what you're saying. Only one I know in your neck of the woods is in Peoria but I don't remember the name of it. It's easier for me to get my stuff from the St Louie area.Anything worth doing is worth doing RIGHT
