Hey guys, I have searched and can't find any information so I thought I'd ask here. What kind of metal are shopping carts made of? We found one here locally in pretty bad shape and abandoned, so I took it home and cut it up to make small projects with a buddy I'm teaching how to weld.My concern is safety, these aren't harmful are they? I know that welding zinc or galvanized type stuff can hurt, so I'm making sure before I weld too much on this thing if it is OK to do! It's just a regular, run of the mill chrome wire/tube cart. Thanks for input!Have a Jeep Cherokee? Click Here!

Reply:Breathing any welding fumes is not good for you health. Some are just more dangerous than others. Always have good ventilation where you weld. Stuff like chrome, cadminum, and galvanize (zinc) are especially dangerous.
Reply:Ok thanks, I wasn't sure on the chrome thing. Appreciate the feedback!Have a Jeep Cherokee? Click Here!
