First off does anybody know where I can get these? I know where to get the angle grinder but what about the little round 1" diameter sand paper insertsAlso, would this be good for prepping the metal for a good clean weld?
Reply:Do you mean a air powered Dremel tool?Sanding drums are what they are called..The arbor is 1/8" and the part where the drum goes is rubber with a screw in the end to "fatten it up" after the drum in inserted??Dremel makes 'em.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:I bought what you seem to be describing at Lowes recently. It is designed for use with a pneumatic die grinder. It will clean up metal reasonably well. However, it is for small areas and is no replacement for a angle grinder.
Reply:Sears has them.
Reply:I keep a couple of the mounted (with 1/4" shank) flap wheels around for use with the air die grinders. They are kinda pricey for the low mileage you get out of 'em but on occasion they are the right tool for the job. Seems like you need the whole arsenal from time to time. http://www.discount-tools.com/sup-mfw.cfmThese work great for contouring wood too. I've used them quite a bit for roughing in rifle stocks, tool handles and such. |
