Reply:cool gloves! never seen them before. Its usually cheaper to buy4 pairs of ten dollar gloves then to buy one expencive pair, cause gloves wear out, they just do, no matter how much you pay. ive used the aluminised glove covers before but they wear out too. helped the glove from shriveling up though.Nothing Ever Got Done By Quitting, Never Give Up.
Reply:It depends on what you're doing. If you never go over 200-250 amps they're overkill. High amp spray mig or something like that it they will help.
Reply:I'm using Stick right now, never usually go above 170. I was wondering how fast those gloves would wear out, too. I'll probably just get a cheaper pair then, thanks.
Reply:I have those gloves. For what you do, they are overkill. The heat resistance is better, but at the cost of freedom of movement. They are meant for heavy wire fed work, such as innershield and dualshield fluxcore welding, or spray transfer mig, as was mentioned.City of L.A. Reply:35 dollars isnt that bad if they last a long time
Reply:I'll prefer the norm... not flexible due to the extra protection... all glove is almost the same... unless you use it in a clean environment in your own shed... Reply:They look very uncomfortable to me. I never buy cowhide gloves because they become hard in just a few days. I settled on Kunz, Black Stallion, or Tillman elk skin years ago. They are expensive but cheaper in the long run because they last so long. You can also rejuvinate them with WD-40 when they get stiff from heat and it doesn't work with cowhide gloves.
Reply:i have a pair of cowhide, hold the stinger in my right hand-left hand is completely shriveled from going over justwelded spots, right is almost new.
Reply:remember those are for reflectin the heat and light..they burn and melt if you rest them on the material. i do lots of spray but i just have to backhand pads on my stick gloves6G zirconium 702 GTAW 2" xxheavy6G P.E.D. carbon steel GTAW 2" xxheavy3G titanium Gr. 2 - Gr. 7 GTAW up to 3/4" 3G 316L stainless GTAW up to 1" 3G carbon steel GTAW up to 1" 3G Hastalloy GTAW up to 3/4"1G tantalum GTAW up to .060"
