Has anyone tried the stitch welder that eastwood sells. IF anyone knows anything about how this welds please let me know brfore i order one.the welder attaches to the electrode holder from the stick welder & you can use up to 3/32 rod. From what i read you can reduce the current in 1/2 by using this stitch welder for thin material. If this is true if i set knob on 40 which is lowest then i should be getting 20 volts. thanks for your advice.Last edited by wheelerbuffy; 04-29-2008 at 03:53 AM.Reason: changed wording
Reply:Yes, I have one, does it work, yes, does it work good, no. I found it it be very finiky (?), only work passably with 1/16" 6011 welding rod, its hard to get a good bead and it is very hard to keep a steady arc. I found it to more of a pain that what its worth.Jack |
