I have been welding with some Fabsheild 23 with my suitcase. Love it when it wants to weld right. The wire keeps on jamming in the gun. I have to pull it out, start to weld then jams again.Welding with .035 wire and using .045 tips, but still jams. Have bought a new benard gun and still jams. Jams in all postions. Doesn't matter if it is flat vertical or overhead. Jams. Have tired anti spater spray still jams. Even bought a new nozzle, still jams. Have tried to clean the tips, something is always in the stuck in the middle of the tip. I usally just put a new tip in, but in the matter of a couple of mins, Starts to Jam. Any ideas????
Reply:Not to worry Ag specialties- I have had this same problem before and If I am right, you are having the same problem.  The liner has a tendency to get clogged up over time. I have been successful at times using compressed air to blow out the line, then you see a cloud of dirt poof out of the end. You may need a new liner.
Reply:ln-25?i agree with mark.what happens is the drive rolls bight into the wire, in order to push it through the gun.  each time the wheel bites into the wire it creates a very tiny chip, these chips end up running with the wire, through the liner, clogging it up and eventually causing it to jam.  try the compressed air, or air from an oxygen bottle, if you have no air compressor.  If that doesnt work, as mark said, get a new liner.
Reply:You may also try backing off on the roll pressure.  Tubular wire can become oval between the rollers, then its not .035 any more.David Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:If it is .035 wire, then you should use .035 tips. Also try what the other guys suggested.  Replace your liner and loosen up your drive rolls until the point when you pinch the wire coming through the tip your drive rolls should just start to slip.
Reply:I have the same problem when my tips get worn. I run a lot of flux core and when it starts to hang it's time for a new tip. Use .035 tips for .035 wire. The contact tip transfers current to the wire and when it gets too loose it will arc inside the tip. What type of gun are you using? Is it a GMAW or FCAW gun? I use both a Lincoln Magnum 300 and a #3 Tweco. In order to use them with flux core I had to cut the gas nozzle off even with the back of the contact tip where it screws into the diffuser. You don't have the gas for cooling the contact tip when running flux core. This lets it get enough air to keep the tip cool enough that it doesn't heat up and bind. I can run continuously @ 250 amps like this. Hope some of this might help you.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.

Reply:Also make sure your ground is good. Mig requires a really good ground. That will cause burnback to the tip. Check for weak ground clamp or dirty metal where clamp is.
