lifting a trailblazer

what do you guys use to put your welder/generator in the back of your truck?  I don't have a fork lift or a crane. any Ideas?  I was thinking of buying a HF truck crane and mount it to a pad on my trailer hitch extension.  off set it some how to the side. what do you guys think?
Reply:I use this i built it and use a chain come along or chain- fall it has lifted 1500lbs but it was scary.It will pick my 700lb 300d tb no problem. Attached Images

Reply:how about this, I probably could do it for $250.. what you guys think.  harbor freight  aluminum ramps with a warn winch attached to a headache  bar. of course the trailblazer would be on wheels. Reply:if you only going to move it a few time just use a come a long to get it up the ramps. My tool box weight more than twice what a trailblazer weighs and loaded by come a long. i use a small chain running between stake pockets instead of hooking the come a long to a headache rack. Bettet yet just rent a engine hoist if you're moving it once.  you'll have to use a short length of chain between the engine hoist and welder to enough clearance.Last edited by tresi; 07-22-2008 at 11:57 PM.
