Does anyone know how I could get an owners manual for this helmet. I bought one used and would like more info on it before I use it. Arc1's website doesn't offer much. Thanks
Reply:It might help if I clarify my question a little. I haven't used a solar powered helmet before or one with grind mode, variable shade, etc. It looks like you don't need to turn it on or off for it to work.  Also I'm not sure what shade to use for flux core or mig. I looked at Lincoln's site and if I read correctly I could use whatever shade allowed me to see best. I'd be welding at a max of 90 amps mostly flux core. Hate to sound ignorant but this thing is new to me. Thanks again
Reply:Quite a few hoods don't have an on/off button.  Start with a shade 10 and run from there.  If you give them a call, they'll probably either mail you one, or e-mail you one as a PDF file.
Reply:Thanks Supe. That turned out to be excellent advice. I looked around the website a bit and found a toll free number for tech support. They were only to happy to provide a manual. There's no reason I shouldn't have thought of that!
