My last TIG machine purchase was a Lincoln 355 Square Wave TIG.I think that was when Miller just came out with the Aerowave. Possible the only machine with Hertz control, (inverter technology) on the market at that time. I opted for the Lincoln as the Miller Aerowave was twice the investment.I am quite satisfied with the Lincoln as far as durability, performance, and ease of operation with all material alloys and thicknesses that I am using. My questions are: How much do you value the Hertz control option with normal AC TIG aluminum welding? How important is this feature and where do you reap the benefit of it?Thanks for any insight.

Reply:OMS:Funny you should ask. Look at this thread, posts 34 & 36. Cured me of thinking I can't live without an inverter. (disclaimer, just a home hobby guy. I know you make your living welding and could justify a Dynasty 350 if you wanted one.)http://www.hobartwelders.com/weldtal...t=29587&page=3Last edited by Craig in Denver; 11-03-2008 at 01:22 AM.9-11-2001......We Will Never ForgetRetired desk jockey.
