Im a HVAC sheet metal worker and normaly i work in the field, but for today and all of next week im working in the welding shop helping weld alot of 16 gauge iron into grease duct. for the first half of the day i was laying out and setting up the duct, then my journeyman let me weld for the last four hours. by the end of the day my welds looked almost as good as his.Here are pictures of the first piece i put together and weldedAreas i need to work on are when i stop then restartinside of weld.more pictures after tomorow, and ill take some pictures once all the duct is hung on the job site |
