Reply:Thanks for your reply, I have run the XLR-8 in some fillets and fillet overheads, I use to run the nr 311 5/64 at 32 volts and 250 ipm on splices. never had any UT problems at all. People are making it sound like the t 8 wire is going to trick me by looking great and running smooth but then having slag in there? Mark
Reply:have you actually broken some of your fillets that were run with the XLR-8 to see what the root looks like?  I would be curious about that if I were you. Also, just my personal preferance, but I like the Fabshield X80 or the 81N1 better.
Reply:never touched the hobart stuff.  Infact the only place i have ever seen it was at tractor supply.  A fair amont of exsperiance with Esab Coreshield-8 and NR-232 thoughVantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
