Fuel flow questions on LincWelder 225 with Onan

I recently inherited a LincWelder 225 with the two cylinder opposing design. I am able to get the unit to run but only if I manually feed it with fuel. I dont seem to be able to find a good service manual as this thing has been out of production for the last century I think. I have taken off the fuel boal and cleaned what I can but with so many vacuum and fuel line areas I am not sure where else to clean or change. I have removed the gas cap and put pressure in the tank by applying my mouth to the tank inlet and blow real hard and can see that there is fuel getting to the carb but only if pressure is applied. Is there a fuel pump on this thing? or hidden filter someplace?? I could use any help as I am just out of ideas here. Desperately trying to get this running prior to spring for some hands on light welding and backup power should the city power go on the blink AGAIN.Thanks in advance.

Reply:I have already pulled the tank and cleaned inside as well as the tank pick-up as well as verifying that all is clear through the first few areas of fuel flow. This unit has several areas the fuel flows into and then back out prior to the carb.thanks though

Reply:i own an ancient Miller AEAD with the same engine.  Mine is equipped with a small and inefficient fuel pump.  If it sits around for a couple of weeks without running, it requires quite a bit of cranking to fill up the carburator.  If i were you, i'd pull the gas line from the carb and crank the starter a bit to see if the fuel pump is working.  If the fuel pump is operating properly, Lugweld is right, it's time to open up the carb.
