HiI have been restoring a sa-200 from the late 60's to early 70's. Everything has been going great until I ran into a problem. The machine was throwing sparks out were the main armature meets with the the crank shaft and thought it could be a bearing. Well come to find out I need a New or get my existing armature rewound. Now the question for everybody out there on the forum is A. How much is a new armature if even available? B. How much is it going to cost if I wanted to get somthing like this rewond?Plese give me some honest imput on this matter Thank you.Cooper
Reply:You might want to get an estimate from a Welder Repair shop or a Motor Rewind shop. You should have one locally.I found that you drag it there and they will quote for free even if they have to dig some to see what they need to see. These guys advertise armatures:http://www.weldmart.com/LINCOLN%20AR...PAGE%20MST.htmGordie -- "I believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
