I am more of a machinist than a welder. I am going to sell a welding positioner for a friend and need to decide on a fair market value. It has a 12" chuck and an air operated foot valve to spin the positioner. It tilts side to side. Stands over 48" high. Can't find any type of manufacturer or serial # on it. Is a very heavy nicely made piece of equipment. Looks almost new. As far as history - the unit is over 20 years old and has very little use. It was inherited by my friend. Attached Images
Reply:Anybody have any idea what this piece of equipment is worth?
Reply:I'll send you a hunnert bucks. Honestly ? 1500 to 3500 from what I tried to buy used. I could be wrong, just a guess. I paid $550 for my last one but it was a little smaller. Air operated will make it worth less. How much does it weigh?David Real world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:As I recall:I saw a similar air powered rotator on Craigslist for a grand; it also was an estate item. The seller wouldn't take less than $1000.00 because she was sure it would bring more on Ebay. I watched it on Ebay and it brought @ $400.00, don't remember if it was a sale or not.In my opinion, a realistic quick sale price would be 300 - 800.Be sure to watch your inbox for Private Messages when you post an item for sale.Good LuckWFM - I think we own twin spray wash cabinets.
