Hey guys just wondering if anyone knew of any good welding jobs around Oregon, like in Washington, northern California or actually in Oregon, ect. When I say good I mean good pay, benefits, chance of promotions, and if they have a union or not. Thanks,Mitch
Reply:That would depend on what you want to do, and your level of experience.
Reply:ok, say a guy (or gal, dont want to be sexist) wanted to pipe weld and was just starting out. Thanks for the reply by the way.
Reply:ua.orgIf you hold some welding certs, the better chance to get into a union gig quickly. If you are a graduate of a technical college like Perry tech, or if you are a veteran it will be easier for you. The UA has a program called helmets to hardhats for vets.Good luck.
