table strength

I'm still up in the air over a table.  At this point I am thinking of 1/4 plate with 2.5 angle, also 1/4" welded into a rectangle with the horizontal leg out, so I have a 2-1/4x1/2 lip for clamping.  because of limited storage space, one option I was thinking of was 3"pieces of 2"x1/4 square welded into each corner of the frame, with 4 -- 3' to 3-1/2' pieces of 1-1/2 square for legs; a nut welded on to the 2" pieces to clamp the leg,  Legs are LONG and the receiver is 3" supported by the 2-1/2" angle on two sides. to me it doesn't seem strong enough.The other choice is negotiating with SWMBO (who makes a Ferengi look like a 2 bit horse trader)  for a bit more space in the shed and build a table on large wheels that can roll out the ramp and sit on ground. though getting a heavy table back up the ramp could be difficultfred
