Cleaning Welding Jacket?

I know there's no point in having a spotless clean leather welding jacket. But after quite a while it would be nice to get rid of the accumulated layers of grime. Reply:I wash my leathers just like it is a work shirt. I dry it without heat though. I then spray it with WD-40 when it's dry. Reply:mine get washed like regular clothes too but add about 3 or 4 capfuls of fabric softener, hang them up to dry and then put them on air dry if they need softened up any.Last edited by afab; 05-18-2009 at 11:21 PM.
Reply:ive decided to boycott leathers until winter time. ive never been a big fan of leathers. i would prefer a good dark blue cotton work shirt.

Reply:leathers are nice when theyre soft. ive noticed im more comfortable when i can move.....and i personally would never wear the same stankin @ss jacket for 20 years. but what do i know. im just a dumb@ss welder....
