Reply:JLWelding, I have an SA that I am starting on myself.  I have been trying to decide on paint myself.  I think I am going to go ahead and go with the newer dark gray.  The older light gray is just too light as far as I am concerned.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......

Reply:Ah!I thought maybe it was one of those made in Mexico models! I can understand the wanting to make it look factory.My Weldanpower I am rebuilding right now will be red, but instead of Lincoln red, I am painting it fire engine red, but I doubt you could tell the difference in colors just by looking at it!#1. Reply:Hey, it's yours, pick a color. I always kept mine Lincoln gray cause I didn't want anyone thinking I had a Miller. Way back when I broke out in the oilfield the owner's daughter stuck big , 10" or so, vinyl flowers in rainbow colors all over my machine. I caught a lot of hell over those for the 4 months or so I ran that machine. I'd pull on a location and everyone would start hollering "here's that hippy welder" and other less complimentary things. I finally got a new machine but the daughter became my sister-in-law and I'm still having to put up with her.
