my welder settings

on my welder I have a few diff setting I am not used to and I was wondering the specifics of these settings. I see the last one is for spot welding by the looks of it and it stops on its own on that setting that is the bottom one then there are 2 more settings with there own dials I do not understand I have to by a new wip for it son can't practice too much yet with it. my ESAB has more settings but is all labled with words not symbols so its easy to figure out. here is a pic and also my welder has only one gas input but has a switch to from O2 to argon why would that be? Reply:Who makes it? We'll need a clearer picture too, that one, I can't read it. The next to the bottom knob looks like a pulse setting maybe? Reply:well have been playing with it on some scraps and looks like the first position of the switch is just reg welding not affected by the dials the 2 top dials affect the middle position and the lower dial is for spot welding just not sure of the middle position it like a pulse setting or somethin.
Reply:have it all figured out turns out I don't need a whip was just some rusty mig wire spun the first couple layers off the spool cause it had been sitting and works good now . and have all the controls figured out the switch is continuos welding and second position is stitch weld and third position is spot welding first 2 dial set the length of weld and second is time between welds. third dial sets the spot weld timing. all works good.
