Powcon models/specs anywhere

Having trouble finding a source of data on the different models. I need a TIG unit that will weld aluminum.I am just starting looking for a used unit and the Powcons seem like good prospects, but they are hard to find concise data. can you guys point me to a source for Powcon info, and maybe a short list of good used TIG models to keep an eye out for?Thanks,Clay

Reply:If you want to do alum you probably want to say with a larger machine unless all you plan to do is thin stuff. My Syncro 200 is maxed at 3/16-1/4" alum. I'd be much happier with a Syncro 250 or bigger to do alum. Better yet a Dynasty 350.I've seen the older Syncro 180's used at decent prices. That or some of the really big older transformer machines. I've seen them used super cheap, but you need the space and juice to run them..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear.
