Addons For XMT 304

We have a XMT 304 in our shop and I have been wanting to get a wire feeder for it. I have been keeping my eyes open for a decent used S-22A. I was at an auction yesterday and ended up buying a S-54D for $50. It looks to be in good shape, but I haven't had a change to even plug it in yet. I don't know anything about this feeder, but decided for the price I couldn't go to far wrong. I also bought a Miller HF-15-1 high frequency starter for $25 for the same reason.Now for the questions. 1. Will this feeder work with the XMT? At the very least I believe that I will need an adapter of some sort. Correct?2. Is the S-54D a good feeder? I haven't been able to find much info on them. 3. Does the HF-15 serve any purpose with the XMT? I don't have much use for TIG and I know the XMT is TIG capable without the HF.Thanks.

Reply:I had a S54-E feeder that I used on a XMT300. When I upgraded to a XMT350, I bought a 60 series. Reply:I had a chance to take a closer look at the feeder today. It is indeed like the S-54D that was posted earlier, but it also has a Pulset box on top of it. I wasn't familiar enough with it to even notice the difference at first glance. What little information I have been able to find on the Pulset would suggest that it is only compatible with the Pulstar 450. Is this actually the case, and if so, is the Pulset worth anything?
