Has anyone made any locking systems for Game Camera's. I need some idea's or plans. Kraftymate
Reply:do ya mean like a locking cabinet?something to protect a camera for watching deer? Is that what your asking? I have nothing offhand but if you explain what your thinking of im sure I can come up with a concept.CHRIS
Reply:Yes, a way to lock the camera to a tree. They make a kit for about $50.00 but its cheap parts. The camera's are usually about 4" to 6" across and about 3" to 4" wide and any strap can't interfere with the lens or infrared light which activates the camera to flash when an animal moves in front of it.My idea is to have a square steel box that will have one or two holes on all sides to mount/slide a steel rod or strap that can be padlocked. The steel box with the camera attached will be screwed into the tree to prevent removal. Does that help?Kraftymate
Reply:yeah basically the design you want I would think would be to experimetn maybe with cardboard at first for your pattern, but basically I woiuld make it door that when shut the camer can still see its full view iwthout obstruction. Then Yeah make a small hasp type lock to the door. Id even go so far as to make a mounting braket for a strap that attaches via a padlock and this strap goes arund the tree. This is if nothing else mere security. Can you get teh picture in your mind? good luckCHRIS |
