Hey folks! I made a few post holders yesturday. They worked out pretty good but I do have some mods in mind. You can get a post set and ready to pour in 2-3 min. They could have been a little heavier, and legs wouldn't hurt. Look 'em over and comments are welcomed. Thanks Attached Images
Reply:How about a couple of the glue on RV levels?? Heck, product looks good to me. Pretty slick. Looks like a bolt at the bottom for level adjustment???
Reply:Great IdeaI assume you stand on the plate while setting post. In order to get post plumb, you would need a joint that moves in four directions. I see this working great in the walk is only pitched in one direction. I am thinking of a joint with lots of tension, not like a car U-joint, so it will still support the post.I guess you could simply slide a wedge under the plate inorder to make it plumb, also.
Reply:tapwelder, they do move in 4 dir. The pic sucks but there are bolts on both axis Sandy, thats a good idea. I was using a mag torp but glue ons would be ok. |
