...I have a little more time on my hands at the moment.....Sooo I figured I'd play with a couple of Rawson-Keonig HD tool boxes that I've had laying around for awhile. The fire box is an 18"x18"x24" mated to the Smoker. The Smoker box is a 24"x24"x36".I placed 4"x1/4" Square tube 'Clean-outs' in the bottom of both boxes- the one in the fire boxs serves dual purpose as a clean out/damper (works pretty well).I used 2x2x1/4" angle iron for all the racks in the smoker with #9 flat stainless exp. metal for the grates. I ran the angle on the sides of the racks 'open leg out' so that they could slid on the 3"x3"x3/16" angles that I used for rails on the inside of the smoker box. (add a couple of back plates to each back side of the rails on each rack and slot the front of the dox on each slider so that they can slide out the front- now you can slide the racks out to bast, check, or completely remove what you're cookin)Also added a swivel 'Bird hook' for Smoking hams and birds. It slides in a receptacle in the top.Smoke stake is 4" Stainless with damper cap on top...I know, I know, I know.....another @*#&! BBQ Pit.
