Here are some stick welds on 14ga.  The tubing is 3x2-14ga and there is a lap weld that is 10ga to 14ga.  I am using 6013 at 65 amps dcsp.]They aren't especially special, but they will work.  It was nice to weld some thin steel for a change.  One pass and I am done.
Reply:Looks nice, good job!
Reply:Welds look nice.   One thing I would change is stop going in 2 different directions in the same joint.  Start at one end, finish at the other and no more crater in the middle.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:I would normally complete the joint in a single run, but the metal falls out after about 1.5 to 2 inches of bead.  In order to keep the corners from scalloping too severely, I started at the corner and carried the heat to the center of mass.  You will notice on the second picture the bead started falling through.
Reply:if it's falling through, then you need to turn the welder down or shorten the arc or both.My name's not Jim....
