Has anyone made or have plans to make a pot bellie stove from truck brake drums, I have made a few standing ones but am now looking at one that will lay on it's side. and just looking for a little advice.Simonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.html
Reply:Well, what if you got a set of plans for one of those 55 gallon barrel stoves and instead of a 55 gallon barrel, weld a stack of truck brake drums together as your improvised "barrel". Post some pics if you do it - we'd all like to see it! Regards, Nelson
Reply:There is a stove that I am planning to make a scale version of for fun. It's an oil burning stove. Not a pot, but it might get you part way there.http://journeytoforever.org/biofuel_...earth/me4.htmlSmithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.

Reply:welder.man I don,t remember where I'll have to look a little bit but on one of the groups I saw a stove that was made out of wheels. I think he started out with a 13" then 14" 15" then back to 14" then 13" built an ashbox on bottom, it looked pretty good, a lot like a potbelly stove. I'll look a little then give you a link if I find it. Jim
