Welding table from old A/C unit

I needed a welding table and I had this old work bench that used an old air conditioner case as it's base. I added the casters, shelves, handles, top,  vice, and bench grinder holders. Attached Images

Reply:That is sharp.  What thickness is the steel from the metal enclosure?  Very beefy...very well done!
Reply:Thanks for the compliments.The shop is not always this clean, I just showed the pics when it was clean.The enclosure is 18 gauge sheet metal, and has a 1 1/2" angle iron around the top, so I had something to weld the 3/8" plate on to. I also added 1/8" sheet to weld the vice and grinder mounting tubes.

I never paint my own stuff because I know that as soon as I paint it I will figure out that I need to add a torch holder....or a vice mount....or something and I just know that I will ruin my paint. I gotta get over that. It's like this big feeling of impending doom. I really like how clean the end project turned out. What? No doors?

Reply:Awsome looking table ! One thing though , as  I have found from experience, use LOCKING wheels on your vise table...lol. Every time I tried to bend some steel , I was chasing the table around the garage. Now I have removable casters that are  welded to 2 pieces of angle, roll it to the place of fabrication, and pull 4 pins and its not going anywhere. When I am done, I lift one side at a time and pop in the pins and  back to skate board mode.
