Ok I didnt know where else to post this since there really isnt a section on the forum technical issues.Anyhow I was wondering who the moderators are??How many moderators there are?How does one get to be a moderator?Is it possible to have a moderator removed if it is decided they are not serving the forum users fairly and correctly?Where one would lodge a complaint against a moderator?

Reply:You could probably lodge the complaint with your local union, and hopefully they'll negotiate a fair outcome!I'm pretty sure that complaining won't really help, and even more certain they won't remove a moderator just because a person asks. Just be pleasant, don't post foolishly, don't be rude and obnoxious and you'll be just fine around here.Just a few cents of opinion..Oh and don't wear your heart on your sleeve if it breaks when someone says something you don't like.

Flamers, bashers, spammers.Compared to what it was here a year ago, it's a night & day difference. Reply:again i wont confirm or deny.  if its that obvious to you then so be it.  as far as your opinion on the situation i guess i have a different opinion and im sure my opinion will get shut down once again.  i will say nothing more on this as it is just counterproductive.If you think your so sure you know who it is then maybee you should seriously think about that and that person and mybee have an open mind and reasses your position.  you may come to the same conclusion and thats your right.

Appeared what way???  Again I asked a pretty direct question and said not a thing about any particular moderator!!!!  Again it was the mebership that did not answer the question. except for one answer which was good info and answered the question asked.  It was other members not I that brought this topic of course by injecting accusations of who if anyone was the subject of the inqury when there was no one implied.Why is everyone trying to crusify my when i asked a ligitimate question about the structure of the forum moderation?  Maybee I am just trying to better understand how this forum is moderated and how procedures and policies of this forum are implemented.
Reply:I come here to talk about welding, get advice on things and learn about new technologies and machines. I prefer to stay far away from drama, and controversy. If you have a problem with a specific member, collect your evidence and provide it to the correct avenue of channel and If it's deemed worthwhile perhaps something will be done, or at least that's all one could hope for.... Personally.. If it were me... Rather than starting a war with a mod and most likely the result would be me banned in the end, I'd close my screen by hitting the little red x in the corner and come back another day when I wasn't feeling quite so upset.

Reply:ya know i am a member on several forums and it seems like its always the same old bull.  just to many egos and it get in the way of what we are really are here for and thats the technical issues.  seems we all need to look at ourselves and try and keep our egoes in check and try and remeber that our goals may or may not be the same and keep an open mind to the needs of the other members as there are many different group structures on here,  IE hobbiest, pro, backyard hack and so on and so on.

Reply:Most forget that when you post a question such as the op did that some will feel its an attack on the site and its members so some degree specially when its coming from someone so new as the op.  However I will say that there is no excuse for tolerating anyone breaking the rules member or mod for that matter for how well they act or maintain control of the site therein.  It is everyone's responsibility to follow the rules from member all the way to site owner whom as leader of the site should lead by example which I have seen a few set a bad example a few times.  It seems evident that there is enough information from the op that several have figured out whom it is and as such if this person is breaking rules should be handled accordingly by higher ups in the proper manner but if no rules were broken and his/her/it/lawyer/republican/usedcarsalesman's actions are disruptive and detrimental to the function and flow of the site then it should be addressed as well as any mod or admin is first and foremost a representative of the site and should act as such.Sorry 15 years of chat sites, game forums, guild leaders, moderating, super moderatoring, and admining came into play along with some past supervisory experience.
