Over the years I have started many projects that never got around to completion.  I'm sure almost everyone has had an great idea but never got finished or even started.  The little hamster in your brain jumps on the wheel and takes off like a bat out of hell but come to find out he's a smoker and runs out of breath.  This is the tread for those projects and ideas.  Here are a few of mine.A 30" long aluminum gas powered  R/C airboat that I had running but no steering once it planed out. Been sitting for 4 years now.A 1968 F-100 that I fixed up a while back but pulled the engine for something else.  Been sitting for 2 years now.A 1993 Bryant ski boat that I've pulled the engine in 6 times now about to be 7.  I only had it in the water twice and had to be towed in both times.  I hate this boat.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:Oh man you got some nice things lined up to do there. I can see how the boat could be a bit discouraging with the number of times you've had the motor out but the other two looks to be very interesting projects to complete.I can't post any unfinished projects because I'm the type that if I start a project I HAVE to see it completed and most of the time I want it done the same day. I know, my better half tells me I'm impatient too. If you ever get one of those projects completed be sure to post the finished product. Good luck. Reply:how much for the truck?...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I've got a whole bunch of 95% finished projects around the house. That last 5% is a killer. It seems to take so long, and at 95% complete whatever the project is it's still useable. My new kitchen, for instance, still hasn't got a ceiling.Every now and then I decide to spend a few weeks finishing the unfinished jobs before I start something new. It feels great to finally knock them over.Scott
Reply:My wife won't let me see the truck, she loves it even though she only drove it once after I got it running.  I built a roll pan for it, I'll post some pics later.  I've decided to do a frame up on the truck, on eof these days.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:[QUOTE=littlefuzz]My wife won't let me see the truck, I meant she won't let me sell the truck, it'd be hard to finish If I couldn't see it.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools

Reply:I only have a few half finished projects,  and they are my own is funny how I work all week long doing jobs for others but never have enough time to finish my own. But I am getting there slowly.Don't worry Scott we went about four years without a ceiling in our kitchen, finally put one up about six months ago and have still only just bought the new fridge and dish washer this week. I still have to level the floor and well you know the story. Is the spillway still one of the 95% completed projects of yours?.Simonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.html
Reply:Yep, the spillway is sitting at 95%. It all works. I just need a sparky to connect the power so I can plug the pump in. It's been so cold lately that I haven't been inclined to do much stuff outdoors - finishing off some indoor jobs. And I had to do some things to property nearby that I rent out. Got some 95% finished jobs over there, too.Scott

Reply:I like the airboat a lot. C´mon is the steering the only left??? 1 servo and youre done! Let´s see it finished
Reply:I think I need a stronger servo for the steering.  I just got my mind on other projects, I'll finish it one of these days.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:make urself one with a car window lifter those are strong motors one of this days....I guess that´s the phrase that started this thread....well....hope that day comes.
Reply:The airboat needs the fan to be in a cowl (as is a radiator) to more efficiently direct the air across the steering rudders.  Also, it could use two more rudders for better steering control.  A servo to operate them is obvious.I have a complete '83 50cc Honda Express basketcase that I've been shuffling around the garage for for a couple of years.  I bought every piece to put this together on Ebay, in the Johny Cash tradition.  ONE PIECE AT A TIME!  It's a classic little number that would be a great pit bike, if I could ever get it together.I was watching 20/20 Sunday night and they did a story on aging.  They said that a major contributor is stress, and can be caused by little things as simple as "unfinished projects"!!!Hobart 140 Handler w/ gasHyperTherm Powermax 380 Plasmaoxy/acetylene
