I live in British Columbia, and i'm writing my Read Seal test next month. I was wondering if anyonw knows of a website where there is an outline of whats on the test, or a practice exam, or any other information. thanks
Reply:I'm not too sure to be honest but I'm curious too. Also can you clarify on this one for me?. You need 1000 hours for your C right?. Once you have your C, you need 5000 hours for the B which is red seal? Interprovincial?
Reply:http://www.red-seal.ca/images/ECS_Welder.htmlTry this site...although with a quick glance i see they don't go into great detail on what is covered on the exam. From what I remember u need to read up on SAW flux designations, some PAW basics, air arc gouging basics, along with everything else (SMAW GMAW GTAW OAW basics, print reading, weld symbols etc)Everyone stresses about the IP but don't worry...most do it and say it was easier than what they covered in school.Hope this helpsCan u build it?Fix it?I can build or fix anything you want...just add money
Reply:If your doing the modular program, not the four year apprenticship. You need 5 months for your "C", 8 months for your "B", and 10 months for "A". you can write your red seal after you get you "B", but you need 5400 hours until they will put a stamp in your book. |
