i'm about to start my cart and as im going to do it out of aluminum i kinda want to get it right as i have a limited amount of free aluminum to work with. i'm also thinking of polishing it up when im done so i dont want to get dome and find out i forgot some thing real important i should have added (kinda like i did with the last cart   ) as i'm still new to TIG i think odds are good i'm not thinking of some thing i need to include in the cart.so how about helping me get it right the first time. pic's of your carts and what you did or did not add or wish you had added.thanks guys. nothing like an excuse to show off your stuff. __________________ summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.

Reply:HMMMM? OK, maybe I'll have to sneak the camera into work and take a pic of the cart that holds our Miller Syncrowave 500 with 2 full size argon bottles, and radiator ( miller cool mate 4)
Reply:well i just got some of my covers listed on e-bay so thats out of the way, so now i just have to clean up the shop from the last 4 or 40 projects   and then i can get started on this one. here is what i have to work with. its 1" aluminum tube about 14gage and the wheel is a 5" on swivel (got 3 like it and 1 like it only with a lock) and enough diamond plate to make a cool little foot controle holder, just gotta figure out where to put it. i also have a set of 110% slide out's 18" long closed for the droor to slide on, ball berring and rated al like 300lbs  a little over kill but again a free bee   i got a hole stack of them so on to the pic's1st is a quick pic showing building materals2nd is the stack of the rest of the materals ( i told ya i needed to clean up 8^)) )3rd is the foot controle holder idea4th is the old cart holding every thing showing the droor i made for it.the droor for the new cart will also have to be made out of steel as i dont have any aluminum sheet, no biggy though after its made i'll coat it in spray on truck bed liner and it will be great, rust free and verry durable. after al the last one i made on the old cart is over 5 years old and still working great. thanks for the help and for looking, keep your fingers crossed i can get started this weekend and i'll have some pic's to show as progress progress'es. Reply:aluminum is a bit ambitious, but as i have the TIG with AC (ta-185) i figure it will be good practice. if i intend to make a go at a small fab shop on the side next summer i need to get my TIG down, so this is a good way to get practice without just wasting gas and matereals.this is the reason i need a new cart.pic'sfront empty (1st) is when i first built my all terain cart. at the time i just had a small MIG MM135 and a O/A setup. (no O/A in this pic it is removeable cart that ataches to the back)car1 is about the same time only with the O/A atached to the back.cart2 is the other sidetanks is just the O/A setup by its selfcart loaded is the problem, shows the cart loaded with MIG, plasma and TIG, but no room left for the O/A.  its just too much, so its time to rebuild. Reply:I made this when I got my Miller Synchrowave 250 several years ago using my Miller Econotig. The Econotig is up for trade, would like a plasma cutter. E-mail if interested [email protected] Attached Images
