Weight of Steel

Is there anywhere online to find out the weight of steel tube?I'm wanting to find out how heavy a 3"x1.5" x11 g rectangle tube is per foot.
Reply:Years ago I picked up a small chart book from one of my steel suppliers (he out of business now so don't ask for the contact info to get one guys ) In it it lists 3 x 1 1/2 11g as 3.63 lb/ft..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:it varies depending upon the alloys in the steel. However on average you can compute 0.2864# per cubic inch. Reply:Found an old "O'Neal Steel" weight ref. book I had...3 x 1 1/2  11ga = 3.475 lb per foot; also did "google" search and there are several free steel weight calculators available..fyi.
Reply:When I'm in a hurry for a cost / weight estimate I use http://www.onlinemetals.comGo thru their products list, find the thing you are interested in...   In this case Hot rolled, rectangular 1.5 x 3 x 0.12"  Click.  On right side you margin you will see a box that says Weight/lineal foot: 3.4843 pounds .  That screen also includes external dimensions and internal dimensions.  Makes it very easy to use.As for cost estimates, I've found that their prices are within 10 to 20% of prices at the best local places where I live.. If I'm just trying to figure out design / cost benefit, its an excellent resource... (what is better here?.. angle iron in heavier gauge or square tubing? how much does that cost?  etc...)--zip
