Not machinesWhat pants, jackets, boots, helmets, gloves. anything else you feel the need to add.I used a lincoln fixed shade helmet but I melted the front of it. Now Im using some auto darkening lens from Tractor Supply. It's a flame helmet that says "Metal Man" on the top. I still like fixed shades more.I ALWAYS wear overalls. I've been using a friends black stallion welding jacket but I just ordered a Khaki welding shirt.I wear C.E. Schmidt 8 inch steel toed bootsand I use Hobart gloves.Feel free to add reviews of things you like, dislike about your gearIm sorry if nobody else cares..
Reply:I use granny gear......4Lo. Other than that, regular leather work gloves unless heavy mig work, or heavy aluminum tig; then I switch to the real welding gloves. Jacket, nomex suit, or sleeves depending on the heat. Both types of hoods; auto dark and regular.Band Aids.... I use a lot of band-aids!!!And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.
Reply:I Use a Jackson Boss or a Jackson Fixed Shade, For mig and tig i use a  heavy cotton shirt and reagular leather gloves same with flux core, and for Stick i either wear the heavy cotton shirt or the Leathers i have. I am gonna buy some sleeves nxt week. I wear carhartt double face pants and Georgia 8" leather boots. Oh and my trusty dusty weldin hat.
Reply:I metal bucket, your own flavor of stinger, striker. chisel, soapstones, chipping hammer, flashlight and replacement lenses.
Reply:Pig Tig gloves, cotton shirts, blue jeans, work boots,  and an auto dark.If I'm wearing a T-shirt, I wear sleeves."SOUTHPAW" A wise person learns from another persons mistakes;A smart person learns from their own mistakes; But, a stupid person.............never learns.

Reply:All the usual stuff except for a "wild rag" around my neck. Keeps the tropical tan off when tiggin and makes for interesting aromas when stickin'. Keeps ya warm in the winter and a dip in the stock tank will cool you off in the summer. http://buckaroohorse.com/large_wild_...polka_dots.htmALA man is judged by what's between his legs...always ride a good horseMiller DialArc HFLincoln Classic 300DThermal Arc 181iPowermax 45Scotchman Ironworker(2) BridgeportsOkomota Surface GrinderAutoCAD 2010
Reply:3m Speedglas 9002x hood or a fixed shade Jackson, Some old cotton thermal and an equally old and ratty t-shirt on top (T and sleeves or lightweight jacket if it's hot), Levis 501 "shrink to fits", my ever faithful and, you guessed it, ratty and beat up Red Wing slip on Engineer boots. Usually a retarded comeaux to keep the junk outta my greasy hair. I'm Liking the Miller MIG gloves my wife bought me, but usually whatever decent leather gloves I can find. Jackson ear muffs for the noisy stuff, and the MSA safety glasses that they sell at Home Depot that are frame-less/all clear.Just another clown trying to be cool
Reply:For Tig I wear Bsx Bt50 Tig gloves, Any shirt long sleeved of course, and my digital elite.. For stick/Mig I wear some Bsx Raptor Mig gloves they work  very good and are nice and flexible.. Most of the time I wear the thick Lapco welding shirts and for pants I wear just plain ole Khaki haha they have holes all in them..
Reply:lol.. damn.. you guys have some nice stuff.. lol.. i wear a FibreMetal hardhat, any pair of safety glasses i can get ahold of, brown jersey gloves (or none at all.. i hate 'em), jeans from Wal-Mart, boot's (wedge sole) from Wal-Mart.. and t-shirts.. i don't wear leathers or nothin, except when arc-gouging.. and i use a miller elite shield.. and tools?.. you name it, i use it.. Klein spud wrenches and sleever bars, but the rest, who cares..if you're not livin on the edge, you're takin up too much room..

Reply:I wear a pretty basic set of gear. 100 Percent Cotton Thermal Shirt over a T-Shirt, Blue Jeans (Usually Wrangler or what ever brand is on sale at Kohl's this month) with Red Wing 8 inch Steel Toe boots. The only difference is when I am either running Stick or TIG/MIG. If I am running Stick, I wear a leather bib and sleeves. As for gloves and other acoutrements, I use Tillman 810 Gloves for Stick and Tig, a 3m Speedglas 9100XX for my Autodarkening and a Huntsman Fixed Shade #10 for my Fixed. The only time I've had any issue with the thermal shirts is when I do excessive grinding without wearing the leathers. I notice that the hot sparks are starting to burn holes into my shirtsThe world is amazing when you are slightly strange.

Reply:yeah.. i've stuck my hands in some nasty stuff.. especially at food processing plants when we tear out hide-grinders and stuff.. catch yourself chewing a nail there and you won't stop brushing for a week.. lol..if you're not livin on the edge, you're takin up too much room..
Reply:i try to always remember to put the apron on first thing. fixed shade huntsman hood..leathers only if im welding overhead..
Reply:Pipeliner hood with rubberband headgear and #10 mirror lens, jeans, t-shirt, Wrangler denim shirt, Lapco caps, pull on boots with built in met guards, brown jersey gloves inside Black Stallion 850 elk skins, sometimes denim apron, sometimes leather chaps, cheapest needle nose pliers I can get, and duct tape.Ranger 250 GXTSmith Gas Axe
Reply:i keep it simple...jeans steel toed boots and a long sleeve flannel shirt...i use a fixed shade autodarkening helmet, that ive kinda "customized'...
Reply:Black Stallion gloves, SnapOn auto darkening multi shade for welding and a Huntsman standard hood for carbon-arc, I think the leather coat is also Black Stallion, mostly SnapOn hand tools and coveralls by Aramark.Miller Auto Darkener for welding, Fibre Metal fixed for gouging.  Tillman elkskin gloves for gouging and high work.  Other than that the tillman tig gloves.  Tillman leathers, I have really had good luck with them, I have had this pair for years and they still got years to go.  They are hot though.  Every once in a while bulwark flame resistant shirts go on sale or ebay so I have stocked up them.  Speaking of food processing plants, I was at a shutdown at one about 7-8 years ago.  Our job was to put new stainless grates and frames that held trays for french fries.  The plant's air compressor went down, thus killing our plasma cutting, so we had to hot rod the stainless with a 6010.  After smelling that for a few hours until we got air again I didn't eat fries for years.  I was in better shape though
